Data suggest DNA concentration is compatible with multiple HLA assays without the need to concentrate. While two swabs did yield more DNA, the amount was not linear. Variability between samples is normal as the amount of DNA recovered will depend on donor and collection technique. Concentration requirements for the SSP kit tested are 75-125ng/µl.
Maxwell® 16 LEV Blood DNA Kit, AS1290
Saves time with no buffy coat preparation and delivers buffy coat- like yield & concentration from whole blood.
Legend: DNA Yield and concentration from blood samples obtained from 4 individual donors. 300 µl of whole blood was processed with the LEV Blood DNA Kit. 3 replicates were performed from each donor.
Maxwell® 16 Blood DNA Purification Kit, AS1010
Legend: DNA yield and concentration from blood samples obtained from 5 individual donors using the Maxwell® 16 Blood DNA Purification Kit. For whole blood processing, 400µl of sample was processed. For buffy coat processing, either 250µl or 500µl of buffy coat fraction was processed.
No Detectable Cross-Contamination
Legend: DNA was purified from alternating 300µl blood samples obtained from male (M) and female (F) donors. Extracted DNA was subjected to qualitative PCR, and the amplification products visualized on a gel.
Consistent Results
