CaspACE™ FITC-VAD-FMK In Situ Marker as a Probe for Flow Cytometry Detection of Apoptotic Cells

Abstract

CaspACE™ FITC-VAD-FMK In Situ Marker, a fluorescent derivative of VAD-FMK, was used to label apoptotic cells in a population of leukemia cells for analysis by flow cytometry. This marker was able to discriminate between early and late Fas-driven apoptosis in Jurkat T cells. CaspACE™ FITC-VAD-FMK was thus found to be a reliable marker for labeling apoptotic cells prior to flow cytometry.
